Data & Platform Readiness

Assess Typical duration: 3–6 weeks

A review of whether your data, systems and platform can support the use cases you have chosen: quality, access, architecture and fit.

Who it is for

Teams that have chosen use cases, or have a platform decision coming up.

What you get

  • Findings on data quality and access
  • A view of architecture and platform fit
  • The gaps, with the effort to close each
  • A recommendation on what to fix first

Frequently asked questions

What does data readiness for AI mean?

It means your data is accessible, clean, governed and of sufficient quality for the use cases you want to run. Most enterprises have data, but it is not yet connected, labelled or managed in a way that lets an AI model learn from it reliably.

Do we need a data warehouse before starting an AI project?

Not always. It depends on the use case. Some AI applications run directly on operational data. Others require a consolidated data layer. We assess the minimum data infrastructure each use case needs before recommending any platform investment.

How long does it take to make data AI-ready?

For a focused use case, a data readiness sprint typically takes four to six weeks. Full enterprise data platform readiness is a phased programme, usually three to six months, depending on the number of source systems and the data quality baseline.

What is the difference between data readiness and data governance?

Data readiness is about whether your data can support a specific AI use case — quality, access, format. Data governance is the ongoing policy and accountability framework for how data is managed across the organisation. Both are needed; governance sustains readiness over time.
